Tazzeka National Park

  • 22/06/2021

The main objective of the Tazekka National Park is to protect all the natural resources existing on the summit of Jbel Tazekka, but more specifically the cedar forest (Cedrus atlantica), which is isolated on this peak, far from the other Moroccan cedar forests, either those of the Middle Atlas, or those of the Tazekka Rif. It is located in the northernmost part of the Middle Atlas, near the town of Taza. The Park is part of a remarkable tourist circuit of a total 76 km length, which starts from the city of Taza, passing near a series of natural curiosities (waterfalls, caves, large wooded areas,...) Moreover it allows to cross particularly picturesque areas: classified douar of Sidi Majbeur in particular, to join again the main road at Sidi Abdellah.
