Excursion : Excursion to Ouzoud waterfalls
Between 150Km and 190Km depending on the route - approx. 3 hours each way - early start.
Situated in the middle of the Middle Atlas, the gigantic Ouzoud waterfalls plunge more than a hundred metres into the depths. They are a famous postcard motif of Morocco and a very popular destination. You will be able to take many beautiful photos (in good weather, the sun conjures up beautiful rainbow images from the dust-fine water in the air) of the landscape as well as of the somewhat cheeky Barbary macaques that are at home here.
At the foot of the falls you can swim or take a boat to the other side of the river and have lunch in one of the many small restaurants. How about a delicious tagine or a glass of mint tea with a panoramic view of the waterfall? You can also hike down the path that leads several kilometres downstream on the other bank and find yourself in almost deserted solitude and beautiful nature again relatively quickly.
When returning, be careful that the monkeys, which are used to humans, do not steal your camera...
